Day Twelve Preview: C3/DS Breed

Sometimes you can pull amazingly big things together in time for the CCSF, but other times as soon as you say that you’ll do something it’s like the entire universe starts working against you, throwing all manner of obstacles in your way.  To those of you who hoped to have releases or events ready for this year’s CCSF and then couldn’t quite pull them together in time, please don’t feel bad about it.  It’s an old and fairly clichéd saying, but it really is the thought that counts.

This is my odd way of telling you all that, regrettably, Emzie could not finish her hotly anticipated Hamster Norns in time for this year’s CCSF…  But it’s not all bad news!  She’s gone out of her way to put together a preview of the breed in time for her CCSF release date, which is a great effort on her part in my opinion, and something that I, as the guy who has had to shuffle this year’s schedule like a deck of cards, am quite thankful for, so thank you very much for this Emzie.

To begin with, here’s a screenshot of how the female Hamster Norn looks so far: Emzie writes:

“The Hamster norn breed is probably just over 50% done being sprited, and it probably won’t ever get any farther unless I suddenly get amazing Photoshop skills or someone steps forward and takes over.”

Those of you who are skilled with spriting, please consider giving Emzie a hand in completing the Hamster Norns.

To the right of the Hamster Norn in the preview picture you can see a couple of chew toys.  Emzie has the following to say about them:

“These chew toys were made for the Hamster Norn project. They were sprited by Jelisa and coded by me (Emzie/Poopster). They’re two cute and colorful wooden toys for your norns to chew on and play with. They reduce boredom.”

And to the left you’ll see a Soccer Ball, about which Emzie says:

“Jelisa insisted upon having a soccer ball for the project, so here it is. Once again, she sprited and I coded, but she also made a custom sound effect for when the ball bounces. Your norns can bounce it about and reduce their boredom!”
