Day Nine Preview: Story
on Monday
Here we are at day nine of the Creatures Community Spirit Festival, and as promised I’ve brought Norniff’s final piece of work for this year’s CCSF. This is a small preview of a story that she’s currently working on entitled “The Hand’s Agenda“. Enjoy!
. . .
“Not really much to do is there?” Asked a teenaged bengal norn named Annushka. “I know…” Replied her brother Anthony. “Why are we always stuck in the norn terrarium anyways? It’s insane.” Her brother had to agree with her, “We could always ask the hand… Though it doesn’t listen to us much anymore…” Annushka nodded, “All she cares about anymore are those bondis…” The hand though seemed to care more then they had expected as it brought fresh cheese and peaking pie for them all to eat every day. Annushka wasn’t falling for it this time though, “Only way we don’t declare a mutiny… You know I’m not gonna eat one piece of this really fatty, yummy food.” Anthony stared at her for a second before saying, “Whatever you say, but if we don’t mutiny and we get treats then I’m fine with the way things already are.” His sister yelled, “Anthony sometimes I wonder if were actually related!” She stomped off to the elevator, up to the top floor, and over to the bridge that attatched the norn terrarium right to the jungle. She sighed as she let her feet hang over the edge lost in thought. A single stickletrout swam bellow. Soon the kingfisher would be full and would have to find another soarce of food. She was surprised that it never dropped dead. As the artificial sun started to set she headed back home over to the little tree house. That was where she and her brother lived. After losing her parents to a grendel attack her big brother pretty much become the only one she could talk to at times like this. Those days were fading away though…

Hahaha! I was just taking a break from working on my own Creatures story, where one of my protagonists is named Anthony, when I came over here and seeing this blurb baffled my brain for a second. xD
Anyway, I really like the preview, and I’ll definitely keep my eye out for more of this story. :)
Happy somebody likes it. I just really wanted to start a creatures story and this is what came out of me at two in the morning… I was supposed to be in bed… xD
Ooh! I love this story already and it’s only just begun. Great work – I can’t wait to read more. :D
