What is the CCSF?

First established in 2004, the CCSF is a celebration of our passion for the Creatures series, during which all members of the community are encouraged to produce something to share with each other. The CCSF for 2009 will be held from November 1st until November 14th, with a theme of time to remind us of where we've come from and where we're going.

Day One Event: Live Nornish Action

on Sunday

Great news for fans of Live Nornish Action!  Amaikokonut has informed me that she shall endeavor to keep LNA up and running for the entire CCSF. In addition to this, she will also attempt to add in any releases to the LNA world as they are released in celebration of this year’s festival.

Live Nornish Action can be found here, and it always makes for entertaining watching in my opinion. There’s also a chatbox for you to communicate with other people currently watching the same streaming footage, and during the CCSF I hope to see a lot of discussion over on LNA.

Many of you will already know what LNA is, but for those of you who don’t here is a very brief excerpt from Amaikokonut’s blog explaining what it’s all about:

“Live Nornish Action (abbreviated as LNA) is a stream of video from the game Creatures Docking Station. The game is left mostly unattended (except in certain events) so the creatures are left to fend for themselves.”

For more information I’d strongly recommend checking out the Frequently Asked Questions on Amaikokonut’s blog, Naturing :: Nuturing.  It doesn’t take long to read and yet it’s quite a comprehensive guide, a direct link to the LNA FAQ can be found here.
